Half a dozen games this week including league and County Cup matches.
The solitary game in the Black Dragon Badges North Division saw Dinnington Town take on an improving Newark Town side at Phoenix Park. On a windy evening Dinnington took a 43rd minute lead through Hussein Salem, with Mason Barlow adding a second on the hour to secure the points.
In the Macron Store Stoke Division One Holbrook Sports and AFC Kilburn shared the points in a 1-1 draw. Adam Boyes got the goal for Sports with Gav McCready replying for Kilburn.
Sherwood Colliery booked a semi-final slot in the Phoenix Trophies Division One Cup against Hucknall Town after a 5-2 defeat of Radford at Debdale Park. First team boss Wayne Savage donned his boots to good effect, scoring his side’s first two goals with Josh Smyth adding a third. Radford got back in the game with goals from Macauley Barber and Gilad Grant, but the Wood pulled clear again through Kian Bramley and Daniel Barke.
The Senior Cup competitions brought no joy with both Eastwood Community, at Kimberley MW, and Sherwood Colliery at Dunkirk both going down 2-0 in the Notts FA competition while Tideswell United exited the Derbyshire FA cup at home to New Mills, Tim Baker scoring in a 2-1 defeat.
