A roundup of today's matches as football returns

What is becoming an increasingly disjointed season resumed after a four week break with eleven matches surviving the county boundary regulations and Friday’s weather.

The Premier South division fared best with five games taking place. Leaders Blidworth Welfare made it nine matches undefeated with a 5-1 win at Nottingham FC. Tristan Burrell scored twice in the first half with Sanousi Ali Ibrahim getting one for the home side from the penalty spot. Burrell took his personal tally to four in the second half, Tony Edwards also scoring to complete the win. Pinxton kept up their momentum by beating Mickleover Reserves 3-0 at Wharf Road, Tom Lewis scoring twice and Ash Dhindsa also finding the net. Rowsley 86 had a 4-1 home win against Hilton Harriers to get their season back on track. Andrew Roome scored twice, Noah Evans and Toby McClean also on target, Hilton’s goal coming from Jack Gill. Linby were 3-0 winners over fourth placed Underwood Villa. Jamie Thomas put them ahead on 36 minutes with second half strikes from Matty Toseland and Sean Craven sealing the win. The break hasn’t done Arnold many favours, they went down 5-0 at home to Ashland Rovers. Danny Bircumshaw was the hero for Ashland, scoring a hat trick with the other goals coming from Connor Barnes and Ben Jones,

The Premier North Division with teams from four counties is a real headache for the fixture secretary, with just two matches in South Yorkshire taking place. Renishaw took their unbeaten run to four matches with a 3-2 defeat of Sutton Rovers at Stone Close. Renishaw took a three goal lead, Ryan Damms scoring two and Raul Cioboata one before Sutton staged a spirited fightback, Mitch Wain and Ryan Walker reducing the arrears but couldn’t save a point.

In Division One North Bessacarr went top following a 3-1 win at Thorne Colliery Jonathan Mirfin scored two of their goals, Evan Fortune-West with the other. Bradley Heaps got Thorne’s goal.

The local derby in the Peak District between Cromford & Wirksworth Town and Wirksworth Ivanhoe got off to an explosive start, Ivanhoe going 3-1 up with just nine minutes on the clock. The scores were level by half time before Ivanhoe hit the winner in the 71st minute. Scorers for Cromford were Steve Mallinder and Sam Smith and Lewis Land with Tom Mellor (2), Jack Higton and Ryan Marchington netting for the visitors. Woodhouse Colts had a comfortable 5-0 ewin at Ashland Rovers, who still await their first league goal of the season. Ryan Clarke scored a hat trick for Woodhouse with Ash Proctor and Jamie Royle adding one each.

One match in Division One South saw Ripley Town and Heanor Town share four goals. Alex Lynam put Heanor ahead from the penalty spot on 22 minutes, Micky Dunne equalising just three minutes later. Jack Brown gave Ripley the lead with 32 minutes played, but Lynam levelled the scores in the 38th minute. Both sides hit the woodwork in the second half in what was an entertaining match.

In the Presidents Cup PMG Academy were 6-1 winners against Ollerton Town. Scorers for PMG were Lamin Mannee (2), Musa Jawara, Ebrima Badjan, Morgan Wallace and Destiny Conteh, Ollerton’s consolation goal scored by Tomi Abere.
