League suspension

By Richard Lane

A statement from the league chairman

Following the Government decision to place the majority of the CMFL footprint (Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Nottingham) into tier 4, which means that those clubs cannot train or play matches.
The Leagues Management Committee has taken the decision to suspend all league fixtures immediately.
This will be reviewed again on the 13th January when the Government is due to announce the results of the next review of the Covid situation..

The decision has been taken for several reasons, but mainly due to the increasing numbers of Covid cases across the Country and also the safety of the players, staff, volunteers and spectators.
without whom the league would not exist.

Paul Vallis

CMFL Chairman/ Secretary
