Central Midlands Alliance Pre-Season Roundup

A major reorganisation for the new season sees the Central Midlands League merge with the Midland Regional Alliance under the Central Midlands Alliance banner. The competition will have seven divisions with a membership of 93 teams.
Here is a rundown of the composition of the different divisions

PREMIER NORTH
The division loses Retford United, promoted to the Northern Counties East League, Club Thorne Colliery who will play in the Humber Premier League, Collingham who move to the Notts Senior League and Bakewell Town, transferred to the Premier South division. In their place come the top two from last season’s Division One North, Retford FC Reserves and Elite AFC and Woodhouse Colts who were runners up in Division One East. New to the league are Doncaster City from the Sheffield and Hallamshire Senior League, Rossington Main Reserves from the Doncaster Rovers League and Chesterfield’s Youth team.

PREMIER SOUTH
The South Division receives three promoted sides, Melbourne Dynamo and Mayfield from Division One South and AFC Normanton, winners of Division One East along with Bakewell Town. Missing from last season are Clay Cross, promoted to the Northern Counties and Ashland Rovers who have been relegated to Division One.

DIVISION ONE NORTH
The majority of last season’s teams remain, only the two promoted sides and 780 JLC missing. There are three replacements. Lincoln based Streina FC, Armthorpe Welfare Reserves of the Doncaster Rovers League and Appleby Frodingham Reserves

DIVISION ONE SOUTH
The newly formed division comprises four teams from last season’s MRA Premier Division along with three from Division One. They are joined by Castle Donington who played in the CML last time round, newly formed Burton Hornets and Stapenhill reserves and former CML and MRA side Allenton United

DIVISION ONE EAST
Eight teams remain from last season, AFC Normanton and Woodhouse Colts having been promoted. New to the division are Sleetmoor United and Shirebrook Rangers from MRA Premier Division, Pilsley who join from the Hope Valley League, Kirton Brickworks from the Notts Senior League and relegated Ashland Rovers.

DIVISION ONE WEST
Mickleover Athletic and Bargate Rovers from the MRA Premier Division join Division One outfits Bakewell Development, Inter Belper and Cromford &Wirksworth Reserves and seven of the CML teams from last season.

DIVISION TWO
The new second division has MRA Premier side Melbourne Dynamo Reserves, Winster & Darley Dale Lions of the Hope Valley League, Ashland Rovers Reserves, Bargate Rovers Reserves and seven members of last season’s MRA Division One.
