Central Midlands Alliance Roundup for October 21st
MIDWEEK MATCHES
Yet again only two matches to choose from, both in the Premier North division. It certainly wasn’t a case of unlucky thirteen for Dearne & District as they registered another win in their relentless march towards the title. For the sixth game running they ran in five goals, this time Hatfield Town were on the other end. Dearne were three up by half time, Jack Waldron, Lance Friedrich and Baz Lowe the scorers, Friedrich and Curtis Wilkinson adding further goals in the second half. Hatfield never gave up and were rewarded with a late goal from James Bytheway. Rossington Main shared the points with Yorkshire Main in a 2-2 draw, all four goals coming in the first half. Rossington went two up in 17 minutes with a quickfire double from Ben Wilkinson, the visitors fighting back, Josh Gelder reducing the lead on 31 minutes and Brandon Burke levelling on the stroke of half time, the second half proving goalless.
SATURDAY’S MATCHES
The Saturday fixture list was reduced to just three matches, many clubs and spectators having other matters to occupy their minds. In the Premier North division, Dinnington Town’s 4G pitch proved an advantage as they ran in six without reply against Yorkshire Main. The hosts were two up in six minutes, Jordan Turner and Robert Singer with the early goals. That was how it stayed until the 62nd minute when Turner got his second, completing his hat trick a minute later. Dinnington rounded off a comfortable win as Sam Morley’s 75th minute strike was followed three minutes later by a sixth from Justin Circuit.
There were ten goals in the Division One North match at Bessacarr, the home side powering to an 8-2 win against Crowle Colts. Scorers for Bessacarr were Ronin Herrington with two, Assan Bojang, Raul Caceres, Ryan Whiteside, Jack Dormer, Demba Sowe and Peter Walmsley, Crowle’s reply from Scott Kean and Kayden Stevens. The margin of victory would have been greater had it not been for Crowle’s keeper, who made a number of excellent despite suffering a shoulder injury.
In Division Two, Melbourne Dynamo went twelve points clear after a 5-0 win over Bargate Rovers, maintaining their 100% record. Robin Bentley and Will Holmes both scoring twice, Riley Moore with the other one
