Nathan Benger, Sion Green and Morgan Richards with the goals that see Pinxton book a visit to Teversal in round two. AFC Normanton will wish their long-delayed Buckingham Insurance League Cup tie at Graham Street Prims had been delayed a bit longer as they went down 5-0 to their hosts. Prims debutant Ryan Hale led the way with a hat trick, Callum Wilson and Ryan Seale also finding the net. The winners will make the short journey to Derby Singh Brothers in the second round.

SATURDAY’S MATCHES

There were a limited amount of matches this afternoon, with just three Premier Division matches all In the North. Dinnington Town have struck a rich vein of form and powered to their seventh successive win, the latest a 5-0 victory at Elite FC. Ashley Cooper hit the opener in the 5th minute, Mitchell Clogg giving Dinnington a two goal lead after 36 minutes. Justin Circuit on the hour and Nathan Jessop five minutes later along with a late goal completed a decisive win which was rewarded by a rise to second in the table. Glapwell came very close to taking another precious point at Hatfield Town. The only goal of the game came in the 87th minute when a free kick was met by Hatfield’s Mitch Wain, the visiting keeper spoiling an otherwise excellent performance by bundling the ball over the line. A point apiece for Kiveton Miners Welfare and Woodhouse Colts, the match finishing 1-1 Kenny Tafireya with the goal for Kiveton, Jaden Bull replying for Woodhouse.
Three matches in Division One North with Bottesford Town turning the tables on Worksop Town after losing in the League Cup a couple of weeks ago. On their return to Sandy Lane the Lincolnshire side ran out 4-2 winners thanks to goals from Jake Ricketts, Daniel Texeira, Alfie Fudge and Alfie Stamp. The goals for the Tigers came from Louis Brown and Shah Hassan. Harworth Colliery came from behind to take the points at Crowle Colts. Quickfire goals from Louis Scott and George Neal gave Crowle the early lead, Kenzie Tomlinson pulling one back before half time. Harvey Walker brought the sides level, Tomlinson’s second completing a 3-2 win. The game between Armthorpe Welfare andBessacarr was abandoned ten minutes into the second half with Bessacarr leading 2-1. Division One East leaders Kirton Brickworks took advantage of another blank Saturday for Blidworth Welfare with a 3-0 defeat of Sleetmoor United leaving them nine points ahead of their rivals who have three games in hand. Jack March with two and Connor Steel the Brickies scorers. Ashland Rovers subsided to another defeat as they were beaten 2-0 at Teversal. Cameron Pinnick in the 6th minute and Chris Heathcote on 20 secured the points for Tevie. A comfortable 6-2 win for Bargate Rovers at home to Rowsley in Division One West. For Bargate Brad Sadler got a hattrick, Fenwick Butcher added two and George Ratcliffe one. Rowsley’s goals were scored by Daniel Boulby and Jacob Silcock. Little Eaton travelled to Holbrook St Michaels where they completed a 4-0 win, Gav McReady was the inspiration with a hat trick Dan Purday also on the scoresheet. Burton Hornets were 3-0 winners against Castle Donington in the south section and in Division Two a close game between hosts Ashover and Castle Donington was shaded 4-3 by the visitors whose goals came from Ben Wallace (2) Kyle Schuer and Morgan Schuer. Ashland came desperately close to a share of the points, with Oli Curran, Brendan Moore and Danny Holland’s goals proving to be not quite enough.

It only remains for me to wish you all a Very Happy and Peaceful Christmas.
