A momentous Tuesday night for AFC Phoenix who picked up a rare win as they hammered Glapwell 7-1 at Hall Corner. For the second time in four days Glapwell conceded a goal in the first minute, Ildephonse Hussain giving the visitors a perfect start. The second half was one way traffic with Daud completing his hat trick, Chris Hopkins and Dan Briggs also on the scoresheet. Yorkshire Main were 3-0 winners at SJR Worksop. A first half long range effort from Brandon Burke put Main ahead, Daniel Goluch and 16 years old Charlie Outram-Jeffrey ensuring the points for the visitors.
In the South Division Bakewell Town made a belated start to their season by inflicting a fourth straight defeat on Arnold Town. That’s how it stayed until seven minutes from time when young Ewan Sutherill made it three. Arnold did manage a consolation goal, Tyler Cobb scoring in stoppage time, making the final score 3-1. The margin of victory could have been greater had the visitors not contrived to miss two penalties, the first one striking the post, the second coming back off the bar. Cromford & Wirksworth Town had a comfortable 5-0 win over Mayfield. Ben Cartwright’s spot kick separated the teams at half time, Scott Taylor with two, Dan Watson and Ryan Smith scoring as the hosts dominated the second half.

Meanwhile the Burton derby in the South Division resulted in a 1-1 draw, a last minute equaliser from Hornet’s Matt Considine rescuing a point after United had scored in the first half with a Marek Wasilewski goal. A close game in Division Two saw Melbourne Dynamo edge out Newhall United by the odd goal in seven. Pharrel Baines, Joe Shadbolt, Pav Sahota and Jacob Vella were the matchwinners for Melbourne, the home side scorers were Jimmy Cartwright, Dan Featherstone and James Warren.
