Central Midlands Alliance Roundup for December 2nd

Ice replaced mud this time round as last week’s waterlogged pitches became this week’s frost bound pitches. Even the 4G pitch option was no guarantee this time, two still falling victim to the weather, the 33 scheduled matches reduced to just five.

Two games in the Black Dragon Badges Premier Division. Dinnington made the most of their pitch, putting Woodhouse Colts to the sword, the final score 8-1. The match was goalless until the 34th minute when Josh Scully finally broke the deadlock It was in the second half when the home side really got going, Justin Circuit scoring twice in two minutes immediately after the restart. After Woodhouse had reduced the arrears with an own goal, Scully got his second on 62 minutes, Nathan Jessop adding number five two minutes later. Dinnington signed off with a quickfire hat trick from Jordan Turner in a twelve minute spell late in the game. Staveley Reserves also took advantage of the artificial surface with a 3-0 defeat of AFC Phoenix. Ben Bailey’s first half strike was followed by two more in the latter stages from Jay Jay Cutts and Oli Moore.

In the only Macron Store Nottingham Division One Cup tie played, Harworth Colliery beat Bottesford Town 5-1. Early pressure resulted in a Mick Wibberley goal, Kian Docherty and Harvey Walker giving the home side a three goal lead by half time. Walker made it four before Bottesford pulled a goal back through Daniel Texeira, Jack Delaney’s last minute penalty completing the scoring.

A couple of games in Division One complete the day’s entertainment. In the North Worksop Town had a 5-2 win against Bessacarr thanks to Pharrell Waite and Rosty Yaramenko who each got a couple and Ethan Slater, Ryan Whiteside with both for Bessacarr. Meanwhile in the East Division Kirton Brickworks hit the top with a 3-1 defeat over Shirebrook Rangers. Scorers for the Brickies were Jack March, Aaron Ellis and Aaron Emmerson, Reagan Oakley with the goal for Shirebrook.
Here's hoping for a few more matches next week.
